Id be surprised if he plays in this cup game tbh, think they will want him training with the others for a few days first.
He might come on for the last 10/20 mins, I’d be very surprised if he got more than that.

I’d love to see him start against Wolves, but I think that might be too soon for him. It’ll be exciting to find out though!

A mostly irrelevant but interesting point about our current squad is the number of English players we have in our best eleven.

I’d say our best starting lineup as it stands (ignoring injuries) would have Grealish, KDH, Dibling, Branthwaite, Tarkowski and Pickford in it. Fully half of the starters being English sounds like a rarity for a prem team?

Full disclosure I’ve done literally no research on the subject as players nationality has never seemed massively relevant to me, but it certainly strikes me as a standout these days

In fact if we play Garner LB and Keane RB (which would be rubbish but possible) and Armstrong in DM then we’d only be a striker away from a full English eleven.

To stress the point - not brexiteer nonsense here , not suggesting this is anything other than interesting! But I can’t think of a time the squad has looked this way for many years

Edit: My maths is clearly off as that’s 9 players and we’re still missing a striker. Whoops. Anyway, the point still stands that we’ve got a very English squad

Noticed this with the team on Sunday. Didn’t see other teams with near as many English in the starting 11

I’m going to be charitable and say that he sounds like a 19 year old kid who isn’t very comfortable with media at the moment. Rooney used to be very much the same. He’ll grow into it I’m sure.
Yeah. Dude is a baby. He will be in the spotlight now so he might get a bit more experience talking to the press. Being quiet doesn't necessarily make you dim either.
