Oh that’s totally fair, he came here thinking he was above it and as soon as we kept Dom in the team he was over it.

But he was also kinda right, he’s way better than Dom and should’ve played more.

Can't argue that he's better than Dom but I think you're right - he thought he was too good for us. Cheeky get. I couldn't work out why he signed for us if that's how he felt. Made me wonder if there were some Kanchelskis / Slippy shenanigans behind the scenes.

To be fair the BBC article states in the first sentence that it's 35m with 5m addons

I think there was that look but I think the reality was he was a very young kid in a very strange city playing for a mess of a team. To me, he should be given credit for moving on and being a success. To the best of my knowledge hes never slammed his time here, just said it was difficult. Anyway, Im in a good mood today so thats my take)

Fair point. Maybe you're right. It seemed more deliberate to me but I forget how young some of these lads are and probably should think what I would have been like in that situation at that age.
