I remember being really hyped up and believing that John Oster was going to be the next Kanchelskis and then he just fell from the spotlight and sunk without a trace. I’m hoping it’s just his dodgy haircut that’s giving me the John Oster vibes.

I mean I’m still absolutely convinced this guy will be incredible for us… but I’ve been burnt before.
John Oster was like a Stick insect was often bullied out of the game. He was found out very quickly.

This lad won't be , rewatch him agst Utd and others last season .
As a kid they just bounced off him , great physicality to match his undoubted skillset.
No worries at all about this lad.

Moyes clearly doesn’t rate him one bit, picked Barry on Sunday even though he said he’s not ready, think we will be signing another striker, does that means Beto goes, With McNeil. And then we get a new number 9 and a wide player who can also play through the middle as 3rd choice striker, a lot to do in 8/9 days, so
Unlikely
Yeah, I don't see it. I'd be landed with another striker but I think Beto as a starter and Beto as a sub are very different propositions. It doesn't take away from the fact that he was historically bad against Leeds.

Looking at the market for 9s I just don't see where a starter comes from.

The good news is we have cover for AFCON and we can actually roll out a good B team for the cups without shooting ourselves in the foot. Moyes can also finally have reliable subs. We could surprise this year IF we can survive without Branners and get him back quickly. Tarks set off the warning bells in my head this weekend.
Good piont that mate.
The bench agaist Leeds was very weak to say the least.

Glad it’s done, I really thought someone would be in for him,
About time we had some vision and hopefully his talent will shine through.
