New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

There were a lot of white shorts and blue t-shirt(not necessarily Everton branded) combinations as well.

I will report on fashion choices and how they change with the seasons on the Dock Road as the season progresses…
I’d like to point out I’ve not worn white shorts for about 40 years 😁

Do we know if there’s any word on when the fan plaza is going to be open to the general public yet?

Just wanted to come on and doff my cap to the South stand, that was the wall of sound Meis had in mind when he designed it. Well done to you lads and to everyone else there yesterday for absolutely burying the medias gloat that we would lose that special bear pit atmosphere when we left goodison. The noise yesterday was fantastic! Cannot wait for the derby :)
5th loudest crowd noise measured at a football match ever - anywhere in the world! Wow.

I echo the views of everyone else here in saying that we have got ourselves a breathtaking new ground. It felt instantly like home and it was a privilege to be able to be there yesterday.

On that note, I am not sure how much has been made of this but the official attendance was 1,000 (one thousand!) under capacity. Presumably due to hospitality seats not being taken up? This was scandalous given the tens of thousands of blues, desperate to attend, who couldn't get tickets. Hopefully something they will fix.

Yes, that was my only annoyance yesterday. They tried to take the Michael with the hospitality seats, quite a few banks I could see empty including those big heated recliner things.
Suppose they are trying to protect their margins and work out where the demand is at each price point. I have already seen the premium ticket prices soften so I think it was a first game error that wont happen to often again.
The cup game midweek is properly sold out, all hospitaly sold out so it has potential to be a bigger attendance!!

Yesterday was brilliant, the stadium and atmosphere amazing. Liverpool becoming Toffee Town

But I couldn’t stop thinking about the kite flyers and small boats. Poor sods
And those poor little UNESCO bedwetters longing for that derelict, empty dock full of sea water that attracted millions to the north west to view it every year.
