"Better" numbers? A number is a personal choice to a player. Grealish could have had say 8 but 18 meant something to him.

I mean objectively speaking it's a very football thing for some numbers to mean more than others and be better. DCL made the fact he was Everton number 9 his entire personality and he's not American

I think so. Got some unreal natural talent in the squad now, and not just one or two: Pickford, best in class. Branthwaite and Dibling, hopefully the future of England, Ndiaye who would easily sell for £60m or so, and obviously Grealish if we want to buy him. Alcaraz has a chance of making it, Armstrong has every chance, and Barry and Aznou come with promising reputations. What I'd give for a Yak and a Baines in this team though.

2007-8 and 13/14 were strongest PL squads for me.

07/08 Baines Lescott Jagielka Pienaar Arteta Osman Cahill Yakubu walk into this team.

13/14 Baines Coleman Stones McCarthy Barry Barkley Mirallas Lukaku walk in.

There’s Pickford Branthwaite and Grealish in the current crop, we’ll have to see how Dibling does for us. Ndiaye maybe if he stays consistent over a longer period.
