Why would you need him to bed him. He should never play
Goalkeeper is an important position.

To have a back up who has had game time and familiarity with surroundings and teammates is essential.

Pre-season friendlies like vs. West Ham
help to highlight awkward moments
where decisions, trust and understanding
are built and errors eradicated and that is achieved through proper game time playing experience.

Most keepers never get injured. If they do you are buggered anyway. Travers should never play for the club.

Wonder if he’ll give Harrison Armstrong one last audition to see if he stays or goes out on loan. Would like him to go on loan anyway but guess it depends if we get more players in

If they did it would likely be a professional foul rather than serious foul play. 1 game. You deal with it at the time.

Not playing Pickford could be the difference between going out and going through. Play your best keeper at all times.
Play Travers,
He'll need to get that howler pre season out of his system.
Also needs some first team action at a lower stakes level than the PL incase Pickford goes out injured.

I dont see O'Brien starting with his first newborn at home.

Travers
Coleman, welsh, keane, Aznou
Armstrong, Garner
Mcneil, Armstrong, Chermetti
Barry

What happens if he’s just crap and has another howler that sends us out.

Aznou must be unfit as will Myko be again.

It will surely just be a rotation of the team and bench from yesterday as that’s all we have got.
Could be the perfect chance for Coleman to get 90 minutes. Towards the end yesterday O`Brien went down holding his leg, so I`d give him the night off to be sure he`s fully ready to go on Saturday. I want to see a very strong starting XI in this competition, but if you have the chance to make some changes its a home tie at this stage to lower opposition.

Assuning Tim had only cramp and that Aznou needs time to heal from whatever kept him out of the squad yesterday and that Coleman hasn't more than 20 minutes in him. Dibling be signed too late. Patto off to Andalucia.

Garner is probably the only irreplacable squad member currently, he is so versatile but we have no one to play left back. Young Graham deserves a cameo debut. Gana shouldnt be playing 3 games in 6 days at his age.

There is plenty of strength on that bench if we need it and if we get a 2 goal.lead, can bring on some kids.

To win a cup you need to be good enough to win by a margin where mistakes by refs, the odd howler or misunderstanding
don't come into it.

That said, somewhere along the way you will need a slice of luck too.
