Rewatched the game this morning, still can’t believe we didn’t concede. We were clearly the more clinical side, but in parts of that first half were really poor, second half we were better, the pen save was vital though.

The atmosphere both inside and outside the ground was incredible. The stadium design has lost nothing from the Old Lady, except for the stomping on the wooden floor! South stand about as steep as I've ever seen in a stadium. And of course, no bloody pillars!
They still need to sort the catering and bar area - still almost impossible to get a pint at half time! I think they need to take this match as the first 'serious' event to review.

He is still a young player and still developing.
I remember supporters being more patient with young players , looking for good points rather than the bad ones.
How many players have we seen over the years develop over 1 or 2 seasons from dubious prospects to outstanding players ?
I would suggest very many.
Iroegbunam could very well be an outstanding player for us , he has the ability . He could also fail to deliver that potential to the full .
What he needs most is time and some forbearance.

Might get a bit of stick for this but probably went unnoticed yesterday, James Milner warming up and doing his stretches, had the decency to check with the fans lower down in the stand that they could still see and he wasn’t getting in the way, a small thing I know but thought it should be mentioned, I know he played for them lot.
Was a great atmosphere . Brighton fans on their forum saying we were silent apart from the penalty save ! Perhaps they mean their own fans. I know.
They were quite vocal in the first half, a few different chants about their own team/players, and an odd "is this the Emirates" when we were quiet, followed by a collective "shhhhhhh" which did sound quite effective tbf. Highlighted the quiet spells. They shut up when we scored the first though, hardly heard a peep out of them after that.
