Confirmed Signing Tyler Dibling

Dibling, Grealish, Ndiaye, KDH and Alcaraz gives us great options and flexibility across the 3 attacking midfield positions.

McNeil will probably end up with minimal game time, Alcaraz likely won't be an automatic starter, so it leaves us with 4 top class players fighting for 3 starting spots, with genuine options to change the game on the bench.

Even once injuries and suspensions inevitably kick in, we will still have top class players on the pitch.

It's the ideal position to be in 👍

Still think we need another winger, one possibly two full backs and at least one CM/DM to be in that luxurious position tbh. In the Premier League in 2025 you need to be able to use 16 players per game without dropping off in quality significantly.

We’re not spending 40m on a lad in a position we’ve zero cover to start him on the bench. Looking at yesterday we desperately to look at loan spots for a RB (Fort?) DM and if I’m greedy another forward.
I suspect he’ll be a bench player to start..

it’s most likely a striker with Ndiaye/KDH/Grealish behind.

KDH next to Gueye & Ndiaye behind the striker would be a very interesting attacking set up though tbf

Agree massively with this. It’s been our biggest problem.

Confident we’ll get there though. See a couple of loans coming in.

I reckon we’ll see a young RB permanent, money on a DM (or Ake who can cover a few) and someone like vardy on a free. Then a loan to pad the squad.

Definitely need more/better players further back, but in attacking positions, we look to be in a very good spot.

Not sure we could accomodate having another winger without having European footy and the extra games it brings though, 7 players for 3 positions seems excessive

No one suggested he’d be a bit part

We're not a club that allows a £40mill player to share game time IMO. There's plenty of other options for half that price who can do that job well. He comes in, he starts.

This isn't the kids fault, its the price. Fans will expect performances and end product too.

I’m not convinced Moyes will start Dibling regularly. I can see him starting with the same 3 as yesterday behind the striker more often than not - with Garner or a new signing next to Gueye.

The new cm will be replacing gana imo.

I genuinely feel like moyes doesn't like gana/he doesn't fit into his system.

Hes a good body to have in the squad and he'll start against teams where we expect to be in the low block for the majority of the match like against city ect. But for games we want to dominate possession in i imagine he'll be on the bench.

Let’s see who we get then. A midfield of KDH and Gana/Gueye seems too lightweight for me

Gana should definitely be a squad option at his age. Not a player we can afford to be relying on when realistically his legs could go at any point, and it’s unfair on him too. Another midfielder is a must this week.

We won't be signing another winger without someone leaving.

McNeil, Grealish, Dibling and Ndiaye all comfortable out wide, then you have Alcaraz who can do a job there too.

Were Moyes to sell McNeil, then possibly I could see another, but for now I think it's a right back and a centre mid as the priorities.

After that, you can argue about whether the need for another striker, or further defensive cover or even another number 8 is what we'd need

A right back and a striker is our priority for me. The midfield is fine (all relative i know).

The feller is going to add something we don’t have on the wing, he’ll draw defenders toward him giving space to N’Diaye and Grealish to exploit, you pay a premium for that nowadays.
If he can add goals by cutting in and onto his left then happy days.

The difference between 35m and 42m is big if true. With a 20% sell on you would have to sell him for more than 70m to hit that 42m total cost to us.

But again I guess all that REALLY matters is if hes good or not. We wont think its a very good negotiation if he turns out to be a 20m player.
Isn't it 20% of the profit? So if we sell for £70m we still make £28m profit on top of our initial outlay.
