It’s crazy the disrespect he gets. Other keepers are literally getting caught in possession and giving up open goals yet get talked up as best in the prem or the world and he’s going whole seasons without making a single error and single-handedly keeping us in games. Wouldn’t swap him for anyone in the prem.

Wouldn’t swap him for anyone in the prem.

The last time he was genuinely going through a wobbly phase was when Ancelotti dropped him for a game or two back in 2020. After coming back in he was probably the most consistent keeper in the league for the remainder of that season going into Euro 2020 (or 2021 as it became) and has continued like that ever since.

There's some kind of snobbery with him in fairness. Seems clubs rather look at what he cant do (which isnt much btw) and cos he's not from abroad they give reasons why he isnt a great keeper. Hes constantly one of the best in Europe and handles some of the biggest pressure games (multiple euros and world cups).

So im surprised United or Chelsea didn't go in for him a few seasons back. He does everything and more than what they currently have and what they spent a fortune for.

Glad they haven't but its just odd to see why not.

Allison, Ederson, Onana, Vicario, Sanchez, Martinez all make more errors in one game than Pickford will make all season. Raya is the only other keeper in the league close to his consistency.
