2025/26 Dwight McNeil

When dibling comes in, can’t see where he gets minutes. Alcaraz is ahead of him, and garner and tim likely be ahead of him as bench options.
I think thats true when everyone is healthy...but someone WILL get injured, so I think McNeil will get plenty of minutes filling in then, and for cup matches. Kind of like how Keane is the "#4 CB" but hes already played 180 minutes.

He's just got to fight for his place if he plays well when getting the opportunity he stays in should apply for everyone.. this is what we want healthy competition deffo wouldn't dream of selling him..
Yeah, I like him generally, he has decent returns and think he is obviously a better bench option than we have had over past few years. Don’t think today was great from him (imo) but we know he does have it in him.

I just don’t see where the minutes for him will come from when it’s clear Moyes has several others ahead of him. He has been a starter for a long time now, it’s more about will he be happy with it if he isn’t getting the minutes as he is in his prime years.

I do feel for him a little bit. 2 years ago he was our standout attacker, even last year he produced a lot given his injury. But the quality available in attacking positions has relegated him down the order now, when he hasn't really dropped off himself. Hes a hardworking player with some creativity, and can make goals out of nothing.

An absolutley great squad player to have around, but I do wonder if he may be moved on by the end of the window... Theres probably a few teams he could move to in the league and be a regular starter again on the left. That simply won't happen here, unless injuries really pile up.
