2025/26 Thierno Barry

I thought he did just fine myself, had some good hold up that was key to some of our breaks. Obviously didnt at other times, but hes young. Havent really seen him with a clear chance yet, so hard to judge a striker until you see them with chances to shoot.

Not good enough, hope he proves me wrong. You can spot enough in a player in a few games to know if they have it or not. Sadly, all of our strikers would struggle to get in any other team in the league.

….he’s not passing my ‘opposition CB bus test’ at the moment. I think about the opposition CBs on their journey home and contemplate if they’re talking about how difficult an afternoon they had against our striker.

…..looks like he has a prodigious leap from a standing start. Not convinced he’s a good header of the ball yet but it could be something we look to exploit. His career is a quick upward curve, let’s hope he’s a real find.

That's exactly what I took away from him. Those leaps were incredible and he is going to be very tough to handle off set peices (as it's not like you can just block his run). We have quite a few players who can deliver a corner now too.

He will be fine, a goal will breathe confidence in him. Has raw quality and once he settles will be a good striker for us. This season will be a bedding in one. It's an identical situation as Moyes Keane and I thought we handled him poorly so hopefully he will be supported and allowed to develop.

Like a more refined, less aggressive Beto.

Weird signing isn’t it but I thought he played well today.

There was a header from 4 yards out that looked harder to miss though.

Watching it again and he did really well on the first goal - held the ball up and got it moving and then took out a defender to leave space for Ndiaye to score
