2025/26 Beto

Doesn't matter how close to him they were - he still lost all 8? The duel means it was contested and he lost them all given he was woeful all night. He's 6'4" and was bullied

Does it say he lost every one?
He won 6 and lost 8. Which is actually decent for a forward.

Why are we hoofing it long to him when we know that isn't his game?

Bit harsh not to start today. He pulled our bacon out of the fire for a stretch last season. Could have started in the BMD opener.
I kind of understood him being dropped. Light a fire under his arse. The main thing for me right now is Barry played, was involved with the goal and we are in the lead. It didn't play out in tragedy. See if Beto can provide a bit more in the second. Brighton might be vulnerable having conceded.

You play badly, you should be dropped. I'm shocked Moyes did it, but if you have the players you should. He's looked much better since coming off the bench today so hopefully it's the kick up the arse he needed.

Looked far more direct when he came on than Barry.

We need a forward to go alongside either of them though.

….we know he’s a threat running at goal, good options regardless of who starts. Barry looks a little more rounded, did really well with his back to goal in the lead up to the first goal (and maybe the 2nd).

Barry also looks like he has freakish jumping power from a standing start, not convinced he’s a good header of a football at this stage but it could be a very useful weapon if he’s able to exploit it.
