Michael Jones tribute was very well observed. Only thing that spoiled it was that Sky had their cameras on the scoreboard for about 2 seconds instead of 5-10 seconds as it should.

Getting conflicting reports on this now: one initially told me it was there and it was confiscated; another saying it was just some St George flag that the feller took away to his seat and sat down with.

I mean, they're all the same to me like. Not sure why you would take a St George’s flag to an Everton match. You’re right either way, no need for it.

Graeme Le Seux on NBC decided it was appropriate before the game to tell the whole world that the city lost it's UNESCO status because of the ground.

Make absolutely no mistake this ground has upset the status quo and their hacks in the media will they do every they can to shed a negative light on it.

Le Saux is a gimp. His commentary was woeful.

That Tifo did not work there today.

There was no form to it whatsoever.

Best leaving the flags to the 1878 lot who have half a clue what they're doing and wont try and persuade thousands to wave round some handkerchief size rubbish quality flags.

…..I admit to having to look it up;

The term tifo comes from the Italian word tifosi, meaning “fans” or “supporters.” A tifo is a coordinated visual display by supporters, usually unveiled before or during a football match to show passionate backing for their team.’

I wouldn’t be over critical, maybe a bit more difficult to do in a much bigger space. It’ll all work out fine, the stadium looked terrific.
