Things change. Obviously we didn’t start the window looking for Grealish but the opportunity arose and we rightfully went for it

This! Makes such a difference to have players who are not afraid of the ball, not hiding behind opposition, and can receive the ball under pressure and move it on without losing possession.

I assumed he'd mainly be an 8 as we have Grealish, Ndiaye and hopefully Dibling soon for the front 3.

We went after him in July. Grealish was probably number 1 on the list

I'm not saying he isn't but what about that performance made you feel this way?

The excellent touch and pass to Grealish for the first goal. No way Doucs does the touch or the pass. Great cross in the first half too. Grealish also absolutely blasted the ball at him and he controlled it like it was nothing. Needs to get on the ball more but we will have more control when we have Branthwaite and Myko back.
