Keane was excellent today. Sound in defence. Tough job with Garner out of position on the left and Tarks all over the show in the first half. Sprayed the ball around like a prime Matthias Sammer at times.
Honestly, if he plays like that consistently I'd be delighted. Maybe Moyes is the manager to unlock the best of him?

Yup, properly cursed it now. We'll see the vs. Villa away last season Keane from now on.

Last manager to win a game in August is NO LONGER Rafael Benitez... Go on Davey Moyes... more controlled 2nd half.

Corrupt Idiot Refs just can't wait to give penalties against us can they?

One other thing!

We have the option to buy I think, so he's ours if we want him

Lads, it's Brighton.*

*A really brilliantly-run club, but one operating on a fraction of our budget and potential (all the more reason to celebrate their excellence both off and on the pitch). But the idea that we couldn't get a result today - or any day - against them given the historical and genetic mismatch betrays how low in self-confidence after decades of traumatic mismanagement many of our fans are.

Grealish is the business. That was never in doubt.

A special mention to Garner, who was up against an extemely tricky winger in Minteh, and can come out of that with his head held high. Brilliant strike.

A rare off game from Tarky but doesn't deserve any abuse, he's been a rock for us for consecutive seasons.

Keane, who I have been very critical of was superb today.

Good cameo from Barry, you can see he has lots of potential.

Over to the club now to get deals done. Dibling, a RB, CM and possible another versatile defender and we are cooking.

UTFT! Enjoy your evening Blues! 💙

Lads we played a very good Brighton team and Yes we rode our luck a little.............2-0 though shows me that we deserved it overall. First game at the new ground holds pressure and we are defensively injury hindered. That was a great result and performance. Sounded loud on telly so interested to hear from the fans that went the match
