It's a football stadium full stop. Yes, it can host concerts and rugby league, but it was specifically designed to have steep stands that bring the fans as close to the pitch as possible to generate a claustrophobic atmosphere. That wasn't done for Taylor Swift.

The lack of Everton branding is a deliberate and suspect decision. The stadium looks magnificent, but it's not moaning to point out the roof is currently unsightly and you wouldn't know that the team who plays in, who nearly went out of business building it, plays in blue.

Exactly right.

It's a big draw for events precisely because it's spacious, yes, but also because it is the home of a well known football club. They get 'brand boost' off that.

We'll get there in the end to a point where Evertonisation creeps incrementally onto and into the stadium, but it'll need a fight for it to happen because these officers employed by TFG are there merely to resist that tribal claim on the facility.

Dave, it's a fight to get them to screed the roof.

But we'll get there.

I got it: a blue screeded roof will solve both issues immediately. They should hire us for solutions to all of life's problems. Except that tailgating issue on the self-serve food stations, mind... Sod that for a game of soldiers.
