New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

It’s 90-100min, unless they’re diabetic surely people can survive that long if they’re so objectionable to paying for food and drinks there.
I’m not in the slightest bit surprised this rule exists tbh.

Apart from anything if someone is that desperate to sneak a mars bar or packet of wotsits in I’m sure they can.
They were confiscating bottles of water for the last game which I think is scandalous, especially as it was a hot day. Some common sense needs to be applied.

A problem though may well be that most of the the students etc who make up the event staff have no experience of dealing with the public let alone a crowd. Be an interesting first few games.

Maybe its just me, but I dont think enough has been made of 'no food' practice.

There is no justified grounds for the club to refuse pwople bring in their own food. Obviously, I'm not talking bringing in a 3 course meal etc, but snacks such as crisp, chocolate and sweets.

Its a joke.

And I know from speaking with the call centre -sorting season ticket- they confirmed all stewards have been instructed to take crisp etc from people.
Doesnt mean they will, but it should never be a case of 'if' - taking food off anyone is poor.

Can also tell me to 'buy in the ground' but again, thats your preference, if youre happy paying up and 'giving money to the club' you do you.

Refusing to let people take food into the ground is just forced extortion and thats before just treating people like, I guess people.

Then again, we're customers, always have been regardless any protestations... its just more apparent now...
I tend to agree with you - but this is all part of running football as a cinema/event experience, where you won't be allowed in with your own food, either.

Common sense really should take over soon if somebody wants to bring in a packet of peanuts or sweets, but it's the era of the hard sell now. In fairness, that's been the way of things for at least 25 years, it's just that Everton are only now emerging from the last century for good or ill.
