Mate if you think that's bad - I was born in '86 which was literally the last time that we were any good

It works every time in the right situation. Moshiri had to sell and TFG walking away from a bad price got him to come down to their comfort level.

Not quite the same here but Southampton were at least willing to sell, and then they started spending the Dibling money, so it was time to hammer out a deal.

They haven’t done this with every signing but they are smart businessmen, which is what everyone has wanted in charge of this club for decades.

Sends a message early doors that we won’t pay over the odds like Moshiri did or Man U are doing now.
