Match Thread Everton 2-0 Brighton. Sun Aug 24th. 2pm

Lads, it's Brighton.

I said two years ago ahead of the 1-5 Dyche demolition job that Everton Football Club will ALWAYS go into matches with Brighton and Hove Albion with every chance of victory. People were cowering at the thought of the mighty Seagulls, before Woany and Dychey had their finest hour - and arguably Everton's most important victory since the last time we survived the drop against the odds.

If we've anything about us, we'll win this on Sunday. Dewsbury-Hall and Beto to do the damage.

Who plays left back? Just would rather it wasn't Garner we need him in midfield. Just hope the team turns up and puts in a performance. Grealish must start!

Not for this one isolated incident no, but as a whole I blame the club for injuries. There’s too many every season, it happens again and again, the recruitment teams are bringing in injury prone players, our training regime adds to injuries, we clearly have limited injury prevention, and then when players are out they stay out for months and months. Other teams have a player go down and they’re back in a fortnight, if one of ours goes down with anything it seems to be months before they return
I agree we should have had a right back who can play in by now and if Aznou can't start when Myko is out what was the point in bringing him in now

Sometimes I think brighton are the next man city

Then they lose 7-0 away to Forest, 3-0 at home to Villa and 4-2 away to Brentford and I think hey, they are actually just average sometimes
They're very dangerous especially on the wings but they can also not fancy it and be out fought some days. We need to do that to them! #COYBs
