Everton Youth Teams Thread

I still think Gomez is one of the more promising players on our books. A step above others physically and a tireless runner. Good technique striking a ball as well

I think he probably has the best engine on the U21 side, but shades of Doucs, seems to struggle with distribution/final third. He’s made leaps and bounds in the past few months though, looked like a chicken running with its head cut off the first few appearances last year.

Hes come on a lot in 6 months which is why I find him promising/fascinating. He's had a football upbringing that has probably never been seen before in our academy or in general and probably why he's prone to a few moments of headlessness.

If he can put it together then he's just going to be a bundle of energy in the Gueye/Kante mould as he gets older. Not to say he will reach those heights but more on playstyle comparison. Makes a difference to our usual central midfielder archetype

I can see your reasoning there Francis. Players from humble backgrounds can be the ones who train on best as their dedication is higher. Obviously he has a lot of holes in his game to iron out so it will be interesting checking his progress going forward
