Potter is the biggest fraud in the game. The reputation that bloke has on an absolutely minimal achievement. He’s doled out the koolaid of ‘philosophy’ to so many people but the reality his teams don’t score many and are wide open at the back

Not sure what’s going on at West Ham. Their squad doesn’t seem as bad as the past 1.05 seasons suggest. Are Lopetegui and Potter really that bad?

Anyway, hard to see past Potter for first head to roll unless the mad Greek punts Nuno on a whim.

They're set up to hit Antonio up front and battle for 50 50 balls there after, the occasional counter break sucker punch when sides are gassed at 60 minutes. A lot of effort, a lot of running, but not a lot of silk. They've lost their big lump up front, they've got an identity crisis, they're being expected to transition into a complete other side and do so quick and efficient. Working on one player in a system is easier than turning around an entire side. Huge job, not exactly set the world on fire with signings, natives grumbling, natives hate the stadium, natives hate the owners, hard times have arrived. They've kicked off in stadium before and attacked the owners area, there'll be stadium bans there if things get as toxic as it looks like they could.

Think they are similar victims to a circus like we are, the well offs can spend what they like and stockpile players, leaving not a lot for the rest. Knock on effect is the promoted signs struggle more that they used to.

chelsea were in special measures, (tory) government overseeing abramovich's removal, somehow the sale got bank accounted, and the new owners exploited the first set of rules to spend a billion pounds on who they liked. Then bought their training ground off themselves, then the hotel, then the womens side, they'll be buying the exclusive rights to the picture frames contained within next. where there's a scheme, there's a schemer, moshiri was/is an accountant. apparently worth over a billion quid. you don't make that in the money game playing straight.

When Potter took the West Ham job over Everton, I remember it being reported he thought their squad was better suited to his style. That assessment clearly hasn’t worked out for him thus far.
