The sell on is nuts, it's 20% of anything over what we end up paying if we sell him. If this kid goes on to be bought by someone for say £100m, then we'll be very lucky indeed. Imagine what kind of player he has to become to reach that potential.

I'm not complaining they'll be cheaper signings, I'm saying that this relatively high spend on a young player out the way now breaks the log jam and we can beef up the squad now.
