It’s a bit of a mind-F isn’t it, being knarked about sell on fee whilst hoping he isn’t crap. The sell on fee will only be an issue if he’s great, if he’s great then who cares?

If that was the case I honestly think he would walk. He doesn't exactly need the money or anything and at his age I'm sure the stress free lifestyle would suit him more. I think its more that he just isn't this master of the transfer market that he or some of our fans think, we wasted the first month of the window chasing ridiculous targets that he had picked who were never coming here. Clubs pay lots of money to appoint people to work in an actual recruitment department, its their job to research all this stuff, find the players to fill the holes, not the scatter gun approach we appear to have taken this summer. Moyes - work with players, Recruitment team - deal with recruitment, thats how it should be for me.
