New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

Someone was asking about taking a bag into the ground with laptop and stuff because they're going straight from work. That Ten Streets Social is offering a bag drop service

2006...

...you can tell who played in that stadium from the off.

There is literally one badge in that picture compared to 3 time Emirates. The Arsenal wording took a while to see for me to see, as I don't have my reading glasses on and it blended a bit with the background. You can hardly see that badge in that picture, as well. The same angle at our ground would have 2 Badges, to one Hill Dickinson.

Not exactly the smoking gun you think it is.

Because of the badge?

It's literally the word 'ARSENAL' in 7 foot lettering in front of the stadium.

That's the back of the stadium overlooking a railway line mate.

That photo isn't 2006 though it's sometime between 2008-2009. Check out Google streetview the Arsenal wording over their shop wasn't there in June 2008.

I googled Alama photos of that stadiums and the legend that came with the it is what it says: Arsenal football club, Emirates Stadium, Ashburton Grove 2006.

And?

It's still covered in Emirates branding. Yet everyone knows which football team plays there.

Are you suggesting we don't bother with any Everton branding visible from the Mersey?
No, I'm suggesting that this stadium of ours is very noticeably festooned with the name 'Hill Dickinson' and it's swamping it to the point where we have no identity at it apart from 4 badges in the outermost and uppermost corners of the west and east stands...no doubt so as to not take the attention away from 'Hill 'kin Dickinson'.

...and I'd be absolutely spot on in that suggestion too.

But please carry on defending the name "Everton' from being nowhere to be seen.

I do think the Everton identity could be far more prominent.

They could have replaced the Hill Dickinson branding along the cladding with "Everton Football Club".

One less manifestation of the sponsors branding wouldn't have made that much difference surely.

Just my two bob.
