I paid £70 for both ears, a few weeks ago in Specsavers ( Birkenhead)

NHS do ear test for free if you are deaf & referred by a GP - plus their hearing aids are just as good plus free batteries for life ....

I get the rags bit but what was the bone about. Did they collect skeletons as well

In a way - yes. They were the original recyclers, collecting anything that they could to use to earn some money, and that included bones that people were throwing out (presumably used in the cooking pot first). What they did with them was sell them for glue, fertilizer, and even soap and china production.

I've come to the conclusion that people of my my age are so feckin' boring. It's like they slipped into the space that was once occupied by Terry and June. Droning on and on and on about trivia, not even interesting trivia.

Pontificating about the world today with their reactionary views, which when challenged, disappears like the mists of autumn ; and yet, still they shout, not realising their bigotry lays on pillars of sand. SAVE ME JEBUS !
