Can’t believe this is still on going, it’s clear Southampton are looking to rip someone off for their asset.

Why should it be us let palace or someone else pay £50m for a bloody prospect.

That's why I still find it all so odd, when you consider the context, where we are currently, and what we need now.

Either this or I have just massively underestimated him. But if and when he did get going, he would have to make one hell of an impact to justify not only the fee but 534 pages and counting. Bale at Spurs impact.

Can I just get this straight - how many goals does he owe us for the 534 pages ? Is it a sliding scale, so many goals for each 100 pages ? Or is it proportionate to the amount of FUME generated when reading this thread ?

He doesn't "owe" us anything.

I'm just saying he would have massive expectations on him, and may not be capable of delivering them, in whole, or in part, or as soon as people would like.

I don't think we're in a position to be taking the risk on him, and if we do, it would come with high expectation.

People are desperate for a hero here.
