You do realise he plays through the middle too and has been doing well scoring in that position at spurs. He would instantly be our best forward.

Whilst another forward would be nice, it seems a bit pointless if we plan to just launch balls up the pitch because we don't have a midfield except on the left wing where we have all the players.

If it does happen, he isn't going to change our fortunes this season or probably the one after.
That's why I still find it all so odd, when you consider the context, where we are currently, and what we need now.

Either this or I have just massively underestimated him. But if and when he did get going, he would have to make one hell of an impact to justify not only the fee but 534 pages and counting. Bale at Spurs impact.
