I would be, a young player with promise or an old player who has had some major injuries recently. Seems obvious which one we should be more keen to go after. My guess is we will end up with neither.
but one's a proven premier league player who'll play his heart out for us and the other is relatively unproven and may cost a lot more.. it's not a bad alternative if nothing else is available

We could sign prime Ronaldo and people would moan he doesn't fit into our system, or his ego will damage morale or that's another 10p on a pint blah blah blah

His heart may well be in it but his body will most likely be on the treatment table.
