Everton are one of the lads in the pub who goes in rounds with the rest of the boys and then on his round you find out he has gone home after ordering the expensive drinks when you were paying.
 

We need signings which walk straight into the team aka Grealo. We dont need any more ‘potential’ players. In general these days if you are decent at say 19 then ok. We have the worst academy in Christendom and the incumbents there should be flogged. Vault me….

The fee is agreed, has been for ages. Everton are happy to pay the fee, the player wants to come here. It’s the sell on clauses which they can’t agree on.
If you came into my shop and bought a 4 finger Kit Kat off me for an agreed price we’d both be happy. But if you then decided that you want to give one finger of it to your mate and I then wanted two fingers of it back because you’ve given some away you wouldn’t agree to that would you ?

I’d agree to it or not mate. I wouldn’t stand in the shop all day as my house is burning down.

Thats for a midfielder who hasnt done anything of real note in the premier league. A player 27 in a couple of weeks time who has spent their entire career in England.

This player Chelsea wanted to bin off quickly. He's been used as a 10 by Moyes in his first 2 games when hes an 8.

For me, £20mil would have been a reasonable deal. Just like with Travers at £4mil + £3mil in add ons, the extra cost can quickly add up.

The issue i see is all players are overpriced in this market. I dont know where Moyes plans to play him. I think we need to stop worrying about fees and worry about getting players in.
