Boro always flatter to device. Get some good young attacking talent, for example just got thst young Norwegian from Citeh, but always seems to come up short. I like Hackney and Azaz, unsure if they're Prem standard, but sometimes a punt needs taking.

Our pull power, bidding ability and needs are all very different to Spurs, especially now they have gotten rid of the fat aussie and got a proper manager in.

There has still been a profile of player that we are looking long term, but we have to marry that with some big short term issues and deal with the fact that we may not have the resources to solve all those issues or the solution may not be available.

I'll add, as long as Moyes is here then the profile of the club won't change either - he is very much perceived as part of the 'old everton' and his status in the game is essentially top of the pile of the likes of Dyche, Allardyce, Curbishly, Pullis etc as in old school punching above the weight managers typically found at clubs in crisis or with lack of ambition.

We know we've turned the corner when we can appoint a manager on the up whose got his best years ahead of him and is more modern in his thinking - both tactically and in terms of the structure of a club in the modern game, Irraola, Glasner, Frank etc.

Not sure it is still on tbh, I’m not itk as I said but know someone who knows someone etc … what I got told may be days old and things may have moved on since then.

Yeh, playing on the left was more under Carrick because McGree was permanently injured and they didn't really have a proper left winger

Drifts in and out of games, isn't good in the air or particularly strong, but given space he comes up with some moments of magic. Agree he's not of Prem standard, but would fit into Southampton's style for the aim of getting promoted.

Well at the risk of being a pedant, its Everton holding it up as much as it is Southampton.

They'd want closer to £15m I think but Southampton are certainly beginning to look at forward thinking players. One of their attackers is off, but which one will it be?

I know someone whos called a few things in the past who said the fee has been agreed for a while its just the add ons, sell on clauses that have been the sticking the point.

Yeh, they're extremely inconsistent. I'd definitely never put them in an acca!
