A massive stand out game in our long history.
What will it be remembered for - a historic win in our first game at our new home? Or a textbook Everton late August no show. So frustrating we've finally got to this day, but the club seems to have forgotten we need a team to play in it.

Historic win - got to be.

Is the grass still on the long side or have they got the playing surface like a carpet now? If the grass is playing slow it'll nullify Brightons possession game and we might get some advantageous turnovers high up the pitch as they like to pass it out from the back

A boring, hard-fought win for Everon.

McNeill has to start at LB surely? They have Minteh that side who ran riot at Goodison first game last year. Bring Garner into the centre as can't see Tim coping with Baleba way he played against Leeds.

Difficult game. Always seem to do better down there as can sit in and pretty much always score first.

The expectations with 50k in now are going to be different even if the first 11 isn't ready to provide it. No one will be happy watching low block for an hour after Monday's efforts but it's probably the best way to get a result unless some signings are made. Grealish surely gets an hour here which will lift people.

1-1.

They have good pace and slick passing, a proven way of playing and a manager who's now settled in. We have a load of players playing out of position and a manager who seems at odds with those above him. 0-2.

Let's hope the pitch looks like a scene from children of the corn - might be our only chance.

Happy proper birthday 🎂 HDS !

Double Donuts !

West Ham workmate of mine put a bet on Sunderland to beat them so even though his team lost he was 20 quid richer. Might have to give that strategy a try
Had £20 on Leeds in Monday which returned £48. Insurance policy! 😂
Also reinvested that on Rangers getting battered so came out pretty handy from the bookies this week!
