Non League Football

Good win for Cables tonight 3-0 v Hednesford who had won their first 3 games. God knows how, they where hopeless, most importantly a hat-trick for Ben Elliot who’s one of those players who works his bollocks off for the team but doesn’t translate it into goals, hopefully this will do his confidence the world of good.

Thornton 2 Chester Le Street Town 1

Comeback from 1 down with an 80th minute penalty to seal victory which then saw the visitors keeper sent off.

Pretty little between the teams in terms of ability.

Good to get through and a home tie v Colne in the next round.

Blimey, some trip for CLS that.

Colne had some fall from Grace.

My first Marine game was against Colne, about 4 years ago.

Now, separated by 5 divisions.

Be a good tie that, good luck!
Maghull beat Frickley 5-1, not sure who they've got mind

Was ace yesterday, we had our own group of about 20-25 lads, all about 12-14 years old in the new stand behind the goal, singing all the way through the game.

Our own Thornton ultras 😂
