Good win for Cables tonight 3-0 v Hednesford who had won their first 3 games. God knows how, they where hopeless, most importantly a hat-trick for Ben Elliot who’s one of those players who works his bollocks off for the team but doesn’t translate it into goals, hopefully this will do his confidence the world of good.

A lad I knew when I worked in Jersey, his lad played for Marine Sol Solomon he went to Tranmere , doesn’t seem to be getting much playing time there.

I know Sol, and Ian too.

Cables 1 v 1 Leek Town tonight , Cables never really got going even though Leek played for 50-odd minutes with 10 men.
F.C.St.Helens in the FA Vase tomorrow, EFC Sunday and Warrington Rylands v Cables on Monday.

Bedford fans in good voice, as Marine win a scrappy game ruined by the ref really.

George Newell (son of Mike) off with concussion, as Marine take 9 points from 9.

Pretty little between the teams in terms of ability.

Was ace yesterday, we had our own group of about 20-25 lads, all about 12-14 years old in the new stand behind the goal, singing all the way through the game.

My team, Holyhead Hotspur, have had a very tough start to the season, we narrowly lost at home Saturday to Holywell 1-0 and we have another away game at Rhyl today, sadly I can’t make today’s game.
