Watched 2 series of the Recruit on Netflix which was ok - now started the first season of The Night Agent, also passable. Oh and after talking about Mindhunter I went back and watched it again, bloody awesome.

….we’re also enjoying Mindhunter.

Just finished Andor season 1

Feel like if it wasn't associated with Star Wars it would be spoken about amongst the best shows ever. Right up there with Breaking Bad etc

Hope they stick the landing in s2

Some of the performances were 10/10, even the minor or side characters smashed it

Yeah the arc with the Maya Pei lot? Defo didn't need to spend so long with them to make the point they wanted

I've not even seen Rogue One so watching that tonight as a heavy finale

Side note: an actress in it, Lily Gladstone, is first nations and grew up on a reservation but traces some of her ancestry back to Liverpool born PM William Gladstone.

Landman has caught my attention now.
Another brilliantly filmed series which captures the environment of the oil exploration industry workers. I can almost taste that crude oil.
But it's the performance of Billy Bob Thornton that's gripped me. His deadpan responses and rants are pure gold.
10/10 from me for the mixture of the plot and Thornton's deliveries.

When those three were released it was a very worrying week, thinking it had gone the way of so many other shows. Thankfully eps 4-6 were good and then the rest were even better.

The casting in Andor was so good too and played a massive part in how good it was.

The easy option would`ve been to pack it full of household names, but instead they went for the right people for the right part, irrelevant of their status in the acting world.

This applied to the supporting cast and some of the bit part actors too.

There's a set of rocks with a mine on the map, think you get the ratcatcher rifle in it, it's a hot spot for legion kill squads, if you have the grenade launcher, you can drop them before they lock onto you, practicing distance bombing can be very satisfying. I found it very odd that a kill squad turn up to explain themselves before getting on with it, if I could get in a vehicle and drag them across the map into some deathclaws I absolutely would. Think it was FO3 where ants, scorpions and deathclaws could be managed into a faceoff.
