On the penalty that never was - would that have been given against LFC? I doubt it very much. And is it was we'd never hear the last of 'the officials got it wrong because they hate us' for weeks and months.
That first half performance was abysmal, down to Moyes, and an insult to us fans and the players. The second half was obviously much better, down to Moyes allowing players to go hunting/wanting the ball, and not stymied by 'keep in position in case of the breakdown'. Which was his downfall during his first stint 'don't get beat' mentality and was primarily the reason we never won away against the 'top 4'. I thought he'd gotten rid of that mentality but last night first half, showed not fully. We played like a team frightened rather than a team with very good footballers who can actually receive the ball and play pass and move, which was a bit evident in the second half.
Either he changes, and allows those players to play or he goes. Because performances like that will see us again languishing around the bottom and not win us a cup {which should be the priority}. Playing well, using and allowing players to play, make the right subs at the right time, builds confidence, which in turn brings results. At the start of last season Dyche has us playing some wonderful football but he couldn't utilise his subs properly, which was to see out games when we were in a winning position, then he turned to defensive type football (his forte) and that became his downfall. The same will happen to Moyes if he doesn't learnt lessons from last night.
