…fingers crossed, I’m not a fan at all but I’d hope Moyes has a fixed position in mind with the right mix of players around him. The team looks so disjointed at this point it’s difficult to judge anybody.

Deployed in an ineffectual position first half, essentially man marking the deepest Leeds midfielder and trying to break off the back of him. Off the ball they just brought Tanaka back and ran rings around him and Beto with a 4 v 2 against the centre halves. On the ball he had nothing to play with.
Got into the game a bit more when he came deeper second half and you could see he has the football IQ, was one of the few players who was trying to slow the game down and take the sting out of it.
In general had a poor game, but didn't spend longer than 20 minutes in the same position and our shape was so bad collectively on and off the ball that he never got any rhythm.
In general I think suffered more due to poor tactics than for want of effort or skill.

I know nothing about him from previously, modern football has turned me off and I don't really watch non-Everton matches in the way I used to a few years ago.
I still don't know what kind of a player he is after last night, I was concerned with lack of desire to chase in first half but others seem to suggest he is not a 10 so maybe not his fault. I hope he settles and proves to be a player but no idea after (very limited) first impression.

At least Doucoure was a physical presence who’d run around and disrupt things. KDH was absolutely shocking yesterday

Someone must have got it into their head that he can play as a 10, where this has come from I have no idea. Your forwards need to be able to press these days, and his efforts at pressing last night were Davy Klaassen bad!
I think he did better when he was moved back into CM, but no better than what you'd get from the likes of Garner, Brownhill, Longstaff etc.
