Wonder how many extra seats would be provided if the North stand was brought up to the same level?

I think the North stand has a capacity of 9k and something so a 3k increase sounds plausible.

Still don't believe we will extend anytime soon though, however it is good business to get a deal done early just in case.

I must say it was interesting that documentary.

The stadium was AZ Alkmaars in Holland.

Built in 2006 so relatively new and a stand collapsed in 2019 when high winds caused enough downward pressure on thinly welded joints and surface cracks in the steelwork.

I mean, there's already repair work done on steelwork on this new stadium...and the Mersey will see one ferocious high winds whipping in.

It's best to be vigilant.

Having to completely repaint all exposed steelwork shows how shoddy the club is - they opted for cheap paint over the right paint.

You cant leave anything to this club - or any club at any stadium for that matter. Profit trumps safety for commercial organisations.

The club never used the wrong paint ye clown. The contractors would be responsible for that but you know that already.

The club are ultimately responsible - whether it’s the fault of contractors or sub contractors.
