Would love to see Neville and Carragher if that penalty went against United or Liverpool - they’d be doing nothing but winge about VAR. They are god awful.
Like I said, it all comes down to consistency. They are quick to comment how it is a penalty but had it been the RS , City, United. They’d be screaming their heads off that it isn’t a penalty

Worst performance since Moyes came back. No shost on target in the entire match! No full backs, no right midfielders and a dodgy penalty.

Really need to see some action in the transfer market if we have any idea of progressing this season.

Tarksi went to try make the ball hit his chest it hit his arm. He tried to move his arm well out of the way there was no way he could move his arm any further out of the way that he did. If he had had his arm out and tried to use it to deflect the ball then yes. That was not a penalty no way. Football has become a joke what else can a player do to avoid it. He didn’t know where Pickford was. The ref is a total shyster

This but I think he struggled, especially first half where I feel he set us back a lot. Didn't expect him to be a great left back though, which annoys me because Moyes should have known you can't play half a squad out of position and get away with it over 90+ minutes
We've only got half a squad that's the problem 2 goalkeepers on the bench for the opening game of the season god help us.

Point is, if the manager is not responsible for the performance of the players on the field that means a) hes not a very good coach because the players didnt learn what he supposedly taught or b) he's not a very good motivator because the majority of the players wilfully chose to ignore him. C) they were ouplayed by a better team with a better manager...this was not the case.
Well, you have to take the circumstances into account. It’s not like he had a full squad and sent out a bizarre lineup. It was a patchwork side.

Historically, promoted teams get their only points in the first 3 games of the season.

Under the lights at Elland Road on a Monday night. Quite literally a horrible fixture.

I don’t see the problem mate, they are there to be beaten. These are games you show that the mentality in particular is better, to win.

Im just glad we didn’t play one of the better teams because it could have been a much worse score.

See I don't disagree with you, but even Moyes and the squad changed the play style to get beto firing last season - he's not going to be a backs to goal striker over night, so why expect anything different now? Just play early balls over the top and through balls down the middle and he will create a chance. Of course though in order to do that you need to have the ball and do something with it. We were shocking, but if Barry or chermiti started the actual fruits of our labour would have been exactly the same.
I'm not sure. I think we were so bad the first half, which was not Beto's fault. That was on Moyes. You could see too many players were clueless what/where/how everything worked positionally. Because of that they were basically one step too late all the time. You could also see the difficulty of having no leftfooter at either Left CB and LB. A right footed player in those position will very rarily play a ball along the line. Every ball went through the center, where it is always busy and very dangerous to lose the ball. This is Moyes imo.

Having said that, the second half we had way more possession but Leeds was rather well organized. Beto's strength is in finding space behind the defenders but that just wasbt there tonight. And his (nom-existent) technique makes him useless in normal linkup play so he should have been substituted for a striker who has those skills.
