2025/26 Iliman Ndiaye

looked a bit lost didn't he, I thought the same in the friendly against Roma.

hopefully class shines through in the end
Maybe he feels like he has to be the one to do it all by himself seeing how useless his teamates are but sometimes he just needs to play it simple after he’s dragged a few players towards him instead of letting himself get outnumbered

If we don't involve him he is invisible. We have to involve him to get his magic out. Hoofs is not classed as involvement. We have to be better and clever with the ball and seek him out in build up rather than hoping an opposition player will gift him the ball

Desperately needs to learn to attack space. If every team knows you’re going to want it to feet every time it becomes much more predictable. Despite how unpredictable and brilliant your dribbling is.

Probably help with an overlapping fullback opening up space. That was horrific to watch though, zero threat.

Thought first half he was terrible was looking to go backwards, had a little go second half but was snuffed out poor game overall

You hit the nail on the head when you mentioned the lack of support. All our players just run away whenever we have possession.

He doesn’t help himself either though. Sometimes try running in behind and attacking the space a bit. Do that a few times and drag your full back/centre half and you’ll have the space to ask for it to feet.

Salah is one of the best examples I’ve seen of this for a long time. Used to be pure pace merchant but now happy to receive it to feet - the defenders know there’s a massive threat of him running in behind as well. That kind of variety stops you being easy to play against, like he was tonight.

Not sure about that. Had a poor game for sure but the passing was so slow that he had 3 men on him when he finally received the ball.
Surely if he's the man. He sees that nothings happening, needs to grab the game by the balls, get on the ball and make something happen.
