2025/26 David Moyes

Issue he had in preseason and evident today...he has 5 technical, creative, numbers 10s and no idea to get them playing in an attacking sense.

Doesn't have a pacy wide player who'll stretch teams.

Missed Garner as a 6.

Playing out the back to...get nowhere as the 2 CMs dont want the ball.

He needs pace out wide (Dibbling isnt the answer IMO), but he's got enough to actually play some football

Every summer it is the same

“Pre season friendlies do not matter”
maybe they do if you’re so bad you lose pretty much every game

“plenty of time to sign players”
maybe not unless you want to compete in the first few games of the season and avoid playing catch up

Whole team was poor including the Manager. He can moan about signings as much as he likes and of course he is right but the minimum you expect from a Moyes team is fight and being able to pass the ball and they couldn't even do that. Don't even talk to me about subs. Beto shouldn't have been out the second half, Grealish came on too late, Barry came on too late, Mcneil should have been on in the second half. It was just abysmal all round from all of them.

We wont get dragged in. I'm not remotely worried about that.

What Moyes does almost every season is start horrifically. Either his pre seasons are awful or he gets a strop on when he doesn't get players (which would be hard to believe as that's what he is good at, going with what he has got)

(Firing him at this point would be absolutely ridiculous by the way even with is annoying flaws.)
We 100% will based on that. I’m not having excuses anymore. They should be coached properly and if he can’t be assed and just wants to whine about signings then fine but his job is to coach the team and that was pathetic.

We’re ’kin Everton, not Wolves or Burnley. I expect better than what I’ve seen from the management and recruitment departments. I’m sick of this small time crap. By the start of the season they should be ‘kin prepared and at least well drilled and they blatantly weren’t today.

Should have had the right players in.
Should have had the players fit.
Should have sent them out ready and with a game plan.

3 points today is worth the same as 3 points at any other point of the season.
