He was abysmal tonight. Barry needs to be starting games. If Serie A teams are still interested we should be thinking seriously about selling him and getting someone in who can control a football. If we’re going to play the appalling long ball game that we employed tonight, we need someone who can actually get hold of the ball and get us up the pitch. That’ll be the easiest game Leeds centre backs have all season.

He has too many games like that. Then has little purple patches where he’ll score 4 in 6 games and we all think he might cut it after all. Moyes didn’t sound impressed with him in preseason, I can’t imagine that performance will have changed his opinion.

There was a spell in that second half where he spent a solid 2 minutes milling around between Keane and Tarkowski 20 yards behind the ball while we were trying to counter from Leeds corners.

It was unreal.
