People can claim it’s Moyes’ fault for a lack of transfers [not sure I share the opinion to be honest] but struggle how you’ve reached the ‘disgrace’ conclusion. The first half performance is on the players, IMO. We know enough about how Moyes sets up and plays to know, whilst it mightn’t be total football, his instructions were not for that performance in the first 45. Add to that a woeful penalty decision, makes be doubly confused about the take.

So Moyes has nothing to do with the players he has to pick from AND nothing to do with how they perform? FFS, what is he paid for? Its not his great substitutions and upbeat personality

No great time for Dwight McNeill but surely worth 15 minutes unless they're shipping him out. Kavanagh is a referee who clearly hates Everton. Scandalous performance from him. Not a pen. No protection for ndiaye or KDH. Team improved in the second half from inept first half at times. Grealish well off it at the moment. Obvious gaps on the right and in the middle as stated here a million times. It's a pity every season seems to start so badly for the club in recent years.

MacAllister blatantly handled the ball in the Community Shield and got away with it, yet that is a pen. Give over.

Poor recruitment, poor team selection, poor tactics, first half constantly pressured playing out from the back so carry on doing it, any slight chance to build up an attack ended up with back passes
2nd half very slight improvement, Beto should have been replaced, over all got what we deserved

Thing is, I don’t even think theirs changed the game much. We were getting on top and needed quality and fresh legs. We got the Grealish sub but he didn’t get into the game until we chucked Barry on as well.

Frustrating, but it is what it is. We’ll speed up on Dibling to appease fans and hopefully get a defensive signing or two done.

We really were garbage there. Garner unsurprisingly didn’t get into the final third once. JOB is not a natural right back, so no effective overlaps, no composure at all in the final third.
