2025/26 Charly Alcaraz

I think his position is ten but info believe he had the ability to play further back as a box to box if needed he has the ability to hold the ball in a composed fashion and I've seen moments where he can do the defensive duties needed in midfield with confidence. He needs to just play as much as possible, my only gripe is also a partial compliment I like that he is willing to take shots out of the box but he's need to be more discriminating on the shots he's taking at times.

I suppose in isolation that doesn’t seem wrong but I’m a big Alcaraz fan and really think he’d offer a lot to the team… just unforunate squad development if he’s on the bench while we have no right winger and uninspiring Garner is playing midfield
Garner does a different job really. Can’t compare them. As an impact sub I think he will be great.

Unfortunately for him I think McNeil plays wide before him although behind him if we get a proper winger in. Not sure that getting or not getting a winger helps him when everyone is fit and on form.

Great option from the bench though

….maybe more effective away from home, transitions very well on the counter-attack and can put the central striker in on goal. Remains to be seen if he fits in Moyes’ best X1 come the end of the window, especially if Grealish has been acquired to play no10. Good footballer.

Only given a two year plus one contract though Eggs. At his age and price that is unusual. We definitely were not convinced about him.

Hi guys, I’ve been studying the ADHD fans in our online biffbase and have noticed they follow this cycle:

Demand new signings > over enthuse first appearances > seed doubt about player’s capability > offer to drive to next club for free > demand new signings

So if you look at Senor Alcaraz through this prism we can easily spot the biffs.
Fascinating insight, it feels like we are entering stage 3 of this cycle with Charlito, I sincerely hope the anti-biffs are able to row back this worrying progression.
