Garner left back has been a problem,.not just that he's very uncomfortable in that position but Tim is terrible at Garners role, pretty poor out of procession, which we can't afford in a game we won't see a lot of the ball

I would want McNeil on at left back(he's got more experience playing there than garner, & he's left footed)
Then move Garner into CM taking Tim off.

No real interest in crossing the halfway line there. A very hard watch but at the same time they are the home team and had to be on the front foot.

I get we’re a few players light but it does look like it’s set up for the draw, albeit devoid of any ambition.

Hopefully step it up for the second half.

Settled into defending after 15mins and coped ok. Utterly horrendous with the ball. Need much more from Illy, KDH and Charly if/when we get it.

Instinct would say take Charly off for Grealish, but Ndiaye has done nothing. Probably still leave him on; going to take an individual moment for us to create anything here.
