True. But it’s a law that is never, ever implemented. Here’s a video of all of last seasons free-kick goals. All 3 of the first ones had at least one “attacking player within 1m of the wall”, which PMGOL are saying is the reason Palace’s goal was ruled out for.

And ironically, two of the first three goals scored in the video are by Chelsea, in the very goal that Palace had one ruled out for today. With the third being against Bournemouth, in the last minute of the game, even though two Chelsea players are leaning into the wall.

It’s true what people said, if today’s goal was scored by Chelsea, there is zero chance it would have been ruled out.
