Apparently it was introduced in 19/20 this rule. I remember similar goals to that but admittedly can’t recall if they were before or after. I’ve no problem if they keep applying it consistently.

However premier league referees only do one thing consistently: be absolutely crap.

That rule is a joke, isn't it? So the defensive wall is sacrosanct? Jeez, VAR will do anything to help the Sky 6. Dilemma for VAR later when the Manc darlings are up against a London team...

Thats nonsense mate. Those goals have been going in against every club for decades with pushing and jostling in the wall. Never heard anyone fuming.
