Good day out that. Another good game for Richarlison. Started the season well.
Kudus is different class. 2 assists.

Hopefully a couple of new additions before the start of the season and a 12th place finish and CL trophy are there for the taking.

Can be horrible to open with a game that looks easy on paper. Handled it well, by the looks of things. Looking forward to watching highlights later.

How are PL refs so consistently bad?

I really do feel like the average person watching a broadcast could have less "why the hell was that/wasnt that super obvious call made"?

Always love when the "He's not ready for the PL" shouts are shut down right away like Reijnders did there. It's not higher quality players have to adapt to but chaos and lack of organization. Yeah, coefficient wise might be the best league in Europe but shouldn't be too surprising considering the gulf in the money that is thrown at players in the PL compared to other European leagues.

This is what happens when you give David Moyes the power of recruitment.

He's put West Ham in a very bad position and its been a downward spiral since.

He took over from Pelligrini December 2019 with WHU in 17th position which suggests he inherited a poor squad.

2020/2021 they finished 6th.
2021/2022 they finished 7th.
2022/2023 they finished 14th and won the Europa Conference League.
2023/2024 they finished 9th.

He inherited a poor squad at Everton.

I'm sure that most of us would see the above as progression if he achieved that here.

West Ham are in a really bad situation money wise, they're still living off the £105m for Rice, they missed out on the £80m at the time for Paqueta, the £50m from Kudus half of it went to paying off debt.

Not looking good.

They have no saleable asset's now, apart from probably Bowen and Paqueta.

They're expecting not a very good manager in potter to turn water into wine

Won't get much for them. Zat reckons that Moyes buys crap players.
