ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

"Proud of the way the club acted in response to one prick. Anfield is a very welcoming place to people from all walks of life. Let’s keep it that way."

Last line in that. How can you be proud. If he's always carrying on like this then he should have been banned before it escalated to racism.

Just the usual sweep under the carpet job.
PR at it's finest. Turn a negative into a positive.

Well oiled machine.

That's just another - drawn out - excuse.

There's no context that mitigates this. He's "just passionate" and "he wears an anti-racism badge on his shirt" doesn't cut it.

It's happened way too many times at Anfield. It's not a freaky aberration as he would suggest and that their club "act fast" to deal with it.

More deflection.
The club itself, by its own conduct, have invited this. The Suarez T-shirts, the booing of Patrice Evra when he returned to Anfield, have all ingrained in their simpletons that it's ok.
Dalglish the clubs former player, manager and ambassador wasn't happy enough with the T-shirts, he also called the booing 'a bit of banter'

Dont forget booing the young city lad on loan at Oldham when they played in the cup...

This is what deflection looks like...this is how not to condemn racism...

It's "all stadiums" not for now the one it happened in; it's merely Semenyo "reporting being racially abused" not a confirmed reality, and by "someone in the crowd" not a Liverpool fan, Semenyo was "allegedly abused" not having been so.

Yes, it's all subject to confirmation and they have to fence legally, but not to this extent.

Liverpool FC mate: always deflection, never reflection

Totally agree if its proven to be true. Let's not forget though that we used to taunt them with chants of "Ni**erpool" and "Everton are White".
Different and hopefully never to be repeated times. If anyone is wondering what that was about it was when they signed John Barnes. Just saying.

Just calling this out cos I’m in the mood, so had a gander through your history. Proper Kopite you, get gone.

Dave, that’s absolutely standard language when someone has been accused, but not yet convicted of a crime. He said “… the stadium [Anfield]. All stadiums.”

You’re a tiresome fellow at the best of times, but using this to try to whip up a frenzy about, what, Liverpool being some prolifically racist organisation that the authorities are out to protect??!

It’s nonsense. These bells will make up an element of our crowd and everyone else’s, too. Every local fan in this forum will have friends, family, colleagues etc that are reds and yet some of us want to carry on as if every last one of them is a Nazi?! Mad, this.

No, it's not. It over eggs it on the side of generality and caution.
