He speaks perfectly fluent English - what do you mean its not his first language ? His parents are English it's what he'll have heard at home all his life.
Sorry wasn't aware that his parents are English...then yes he will have likely spoken English at home. Then it is a bit odd indeed that comment...I actually listen to the Southampton press conference just now. They perhaps expecting an improved offer from us perhaps in the next 24 hours...keep going on about the next 24 hours...maybe they will make that decision at that point.

We are obsessed with English experience or experience in a top league and I get it to an extent given our recent finances and position. But if you scout well you can find players in other leagues before they cost obscene fees. But we rarely gamble..
Agreed and we definitely need to be taking risks if we are going to get back to challenging at very top. Playing it safe will get you nowhere imho.

A bit ironic reading this on the same day forest just spent 38m on a 21yo winger from the championship
It isnt, is it. Interesting to see Forest is allegedly spending money on a 2 years older winger who has 2.5x the first team experience, and whom they have been ACTIVELY trying to buy for some time.

I fully expect that in 2 years and with 2.5x more experience, Dibling will be wanted by teams in european competitions.

But it almost surely wont happen at 19, with 1800 minutes, that a club in europe is going to get an injury and think the kid they havent even tried to buy yet is the one to slot right into their lineup. Ill bet you on that, and you wont take that bet.

Agreed mate look how Brighton have progressed buying low and selling high we won't progress with a experience first strategy. We have got Barry and Aznou of that kind this summer but we need more risks...

If he signs, I’ll take that bet. I’m wondering who you think would be selected ahead of him?
Ndiaye or Alcaraz at times, of course he will play and rotate in and out but he isn't an automatic starter mate, its obvious at 19 he isn't fully developed we are paying for potential of the next seasons and a potential sell on, if we get him. That is my point its alot to ask a 19 year old to come in and be our right wing hope on his own and yes he has big potential but it is a gamble and that is seemingly the road the club has chosen. I hope it works but it is a gamble as is not bringing in two right wingers if that is the case.

Absolutely no chance 🤣
So say he starts 30 plus games for us and gets a few assists and goals he wouldn't be judged? My point isnt that he couldn't do it, its that its alot to ask a 19 year old with one season of senior football to come in and solve a right wing issue one we have had for years, when he is still developing himself. I like his potential but its a gamble for me we needed two RWs but we will be lucky to get this one.
