I know we've been profligate under Moshpit, but there is no world that exists where Everton spend the guts of 50m for a substitute.

I don't care how young this lad is, if he's not going straight in and making an impact, then recruitment needs to be sacked before they destroy this club.

I’ve we were spending £40m+ on a prospect to develop, rather than a starter, personally I’d rather we bought 4 x £10m u20 prospects as the chance of 1 of them making it is far greater than lumping it all on one lad.

Neither options fix the RMF problem either.

Was that when Jack Harrison was starting weekly for us?

If he can't get in this side, he should probably retire and take up streaming.

Jack Harrison has nothing to do with this.

If you guys see Moyes throwing an unpolished 19 year old straight into the starting 11, I guess I'm a few beers behind you at the moment.

Fair, but he wasn't even starting all the games for the worst squad in the league last year.
To be fair though - given how bad that Southampton side were overall - he appeared plenty of times for a player that they surely would've considered a 'luxury' for them last season.

Wouldn't be surprised if he tore the Championship up this season if he ends up staying there & gets reintegrated.

New manager so - or new recrutment team, of which he is a part.

If there is THAT much of a disconnect between the manager and the recruitment side, heads will have to roll. Because if this kid is only for "development" then we are still missing a complete right-hand side having just spunked the best part of 50m.

Sackable offence, that. Take your pick who's responsible.
