New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

Have the club update the fans on the electronic red Budweiser adverts?

The colour of the roof?😂
The letters on Hill Dickinson are the same color as the beams that support them, there's a gap in the lettering over the store, the Cement isn't level in an area that nobody will ever go, the colour of the roof isn't right.. Knock it down lads, back to Goodison..

Yes, I agree.

A lot of other clubs have their safe-standing rails painted to match the colour of the seats and it looks so much better. At Everton, the rails look unfinished and like scaffolding poles. They would look so much better painted blue.

Here is Spurs safe-standing area. Much more classy I think.

They’ve painted that grey wall blue, let’s hope this is next on their agenda. It’s small touches like this can make such a difference.
I know the club wanted feedback from the final test event (I’m sure this was relating to their experience in the day) but maybe we should mention this.

The roof screed was an actual part of the plans though, not a superficial addition like the Hill Dickinson signage and store lettering which did not appear on the plan. Yet the screed still isn't done, hence, according to the plans, the stadium is not complete yet (it is structurally). It's not about the colour per se, even if it was white/concrete looking, it's just the fact it hasn't been done yet and the season kicks off very soon. I assume the signage would have been up quicker too only for the whole repainting fiasco.

The nitpickers - and I count myself as one - are the ones who've been the most enthusiastic followers of the build process.

This stadium is absolutely brilliant - beyond brilliant.

There's nothing wrong with wanting it to be perfect.

A few buckets of self leveling will sort it out.

Nothing wrong with wanting perfection and there is always going to be at least one person that does not like something about the stadium, so 90% of people may not deem it perfect, maybe even 100%.

For me it has been about perspective, patience and context.

Patience, especially, has been severely lacking in here. These finishing touches are not important to the day to day running of the stadium, it does not stop events being put on. It is just people wanting everything done now, and done exactly how they want it to be done. If it is not then I will scream to the heavens at my annoyance.

I suppose it would be like somebody doing a house refit, from top to bottom, to live in. They have done the kitchen to a high standard, the bathroom, living room and bedroom the same. Somebody comes in and starts moaning that the spare bedroom has not been painted yet, and continuously moans about it. It is done, when they come back, but they notice that the cellar has not been cleared yet, so the continuous moaning starts again.

Agree with that.

The stadium is new and needs time to bed in and for fans to reacclimatise to the fact this isn't supposed to be Goodison.

Minor cosmetic changes will occur naturally.

Much of the criticisms of the stadium are a by-product of the fact we're not doing the business in terms of signings, IMO.
